The rehearsal usually starts Thursday Dec 18 around 9:30 but you might want to get there early to register, put cases away, set up and all that fun stuff. This year the performance will be in the Grand Ballroom of the Palmer House Hilton - seems that it has outgrown the lobby.
There are a few tuba events going on that week in Chicago. Dan Perantoni is doing a clinic at Midwest Dec 18 from 830-930 am. On Dec 18, 19 and 20 Gene Pokorny will be performing John Stevens' Journeys with the CSO. Also on the concert is Nielsen's Sym no 4! Quite a blow.
