The cerveny 5th valve is practically worthless, it's not even a whole step long. Just play low F 124 and your ears will find its pitch. It's great playing tuba in the low register, so Unless you planning in playing a ton of D's, don't bother paying the extra. If it was a whole step 5th valve, it might be worth it, but not on this tuba.
Also if you can find a used or older cerveny you might be happier. Cerveny's re-sell for less than half the new price, and the older ones play better.
