The bad thing about doubling or tripling or quadrupling is that you have to bring 3 or 4 instruments depending upon who else might not show up. I normally play various keys of trumpet, flugel, tenor trombone, bass trombone, various keys of tuba and sousaphone, and baritone/euphonium.

I knew a guy in high school who played a mean flute and a mean bass trombone. I thought that was pretty cool.

Theres an australian fellow named James Morrison who plays everything, literally everything. Guitar, bass, drums, piano, trumpet, trombone, tuba, all the saxes, clarinets, you name it he probably plays it well. His main axe is trumpet though and he screams, with good solos too. I wish he'd tour the U.S.
