I agree with all that.

My warmups used to be simple lower stuff, just to get my lips warmed up. I now can pull out my sister's trombone book and play the 'easier' stuff to her, on my tuba reading it as it sits. usually playing around with nothing above that Bb, but it gives me good practice for when I pull out my all region to practice on.

I've also noticed I can now hit the higher notes below that Bb much softer, such as that F. If someone had told me a year ago I was gonna be able to play that note, let alone at a piano right off. I wouldn't of believe them cuz that was soo far out there.

As for disliking the woodruff, I dont' really have a choice. They(being whoever that is..) pick the all region out of that book and the getchell (2nd book). 3 etudes out of the woodruff and 2 out of getchell.

Not sure if you have your book but the etudes im learning are #2, #14, #18. along with 100 and 111 out of the getchell book.. There getting less hard to play.. slowly..
