I bought an Alex tenor horn and a bariton from a German seller, and the tenor horn had a very un-alexander-like response, but only on some notes; sort of like having the valves misaligned. I never could find a problem and ended up keeping the bariton and selling the tenor horn. The buyer later told me that one day he opened the case and found a cell phone laying in the case, with a German menu, and he loves the response of the horn.
