Simon,
I have a couple of books that I play out of everyday: Arban complete method for tuba (it is a rather new book) and the rochut book. (that is really a trombone book, but works great for tuba). For the recordings and the books I recommend looking at http://groups.msn.com/TheBasementRegister It is a site that my last lesson teacher started and is filled with tons of great recordings and practice books. I have purchased about 20 Cd's off the sight and they are all great. Happy listening.
