Hey Cale, the best way I learned CC tuba was by just getting it and playing it in a Brass Choir. Your brain just takes time to adjust to the transposition and then it's a piece of cake. It also takes a while to hear the different pitches. When I first started on Bb, I had to really hear the notes before it came out. After I felt comfortable playing and reading, then came the hard part with getting out the tuner and practicing the music. Eb should be a quick switch for you from euph. Try to not just practice it, but to really have an ensemble to play it in. You really have to think quicker that way. Maybe a sectional? Form a Quartet. Easy Duets with Kevin? How about letting me play the solos in Director's band for a change and you just play Eb there? If not, I'm sure Gary would let you play Eb in one of his bands. Later man, better start practicing.
