They are the same in appearance. The new ones have less-expensive detailing to the ferules and braces, but slightly larger bell flares and (from various reports) better, or at least more predictable, intonation. If I had the money, I would like to get one as a backup to my 1958 CC.

Here is a link to an Alex picture from TC's store. The picture is of the BBb model. I own both and can tell you that they are identical to look at except that on the CC:

the lead pipe enters the first slide straight down
the main tuning slide exits the fourth valve straight down
the main tuning slide points straight down
the valve slides are all a little shorter

So the photo shows the BBb, and if you can imagine the downward main slide orientation, you have a good idea of what the CC looks like.
