There is one distinct advantage to using Lexan in hot temperatures. I sticks to your chops a bit, so it doesn't slide around when you sweat. I use a Lexan rim all the time, and I sell a lot of them to people in hot climates, so I guess they must like them.

By the way, I got a Kellyberg just to see it, and it's not really very close to any Helleberg dimensions. Any differences in playing or sound that people like to attribute to the Lexan? - think again. Don't blame the material or the weight when they're not even close to being the same mouthpiece.
