I've had mine since June, and love it. I have taken it into every playing situation I do, (so far no solos or brass quintets yet), which includes shows, bands and starting in October, my little symphony job, and it works just great everywhere. It's incredibly efficient, and the new configuration allows you hear what you're doing, now that the bell isn't two feet over your head. I suspect the old model was really designed as a bell-front tuba. I'm a confirmed "royalist" - I've played Kings for over thirty-five years. .687 is just the perfect bore size - for me, and a lot of other tuba players.

The Jupiter was runner-up, BTW. Whoever designs their instruments has a real spark of orignality, and ought to take a shot at a front action euphonium following the same design concepts used in the tuba.
