flashy tuba solos with band

I may be able to do a solo with the local municipal band. I asked the director what he had in mind and he said "something flashy". What's out there? We're playing Carnival of Venice for a concert this weekend so that's out of the question. The Clarke solos would be good, however I don't have the high range to play them an octave down from the trumpet register and it gets too muddy two octaves down. (I'm too lazy to arrange it somewhere in-between, however if anyone knows of a publisher that has a Clarke solo arranged for F tuba and band I'd be interested.) The Gregson would be okay, however I'd like something a little flashier. Is Czardas arranged for tuba and band? If so, does anyone have a publisher? (I'll email Pat Sheridan tonight.) The difficulty of the solo isn't an issue, however it is a municipal band and not an advanced college band so the band parts can't be insanely difficult. Does anyone have any ideas?

Scott
