I will go you one further here:
The learning and usage of proper communication skills is not our only problem. We have totally failed to instill a desire to correct one's mistakes, to not appear to be an idiot. We have made it acceptable, stylish even, for our kids to be just like "Bart Simpson, Underachiever".
