Hi,

if you are familiar with the Schilke Helleberg II, Geib or Helleberg IIF, then you'll have an idea of what the Laskey mouthpieces are all about.

Scott Laskey was at the Schilke Company until he left and went into business for himself. He's taken those proven designs and tweaked them to improve response throughout the scale.

Scott wrote that there are slight differences in the rim contours from the Schilke's but my chops can't tell. For me, the Laskey's have more "presence" than the Schilke counterparts. Some folks have said that the bottom of 30H has less of an "organ" quality than the Schilke but feel that the improvements in the mid and upper registers outweigh any deficit.

For my playing they work well all around; the 30G (Geib) working particularly well on my rotary horn. Scott is very willing to answer any questions - send him an e-mail.
