When I bought my 2341 I tried 6 of them, 3 satin silver, 2 bright silver, and one lacquer. It came down to one of the satin silver ones and the lacquer one. They sounded and played almost the same, and I bought the satin silver because I liked the look and because Matt thought it sounded slightly better. I would say that variations between individual samples have a greater impact on the sound than does the finish.
The satin silver does hide fingerprints, but it is also difficult to clean once it tarnishes, which it will.
