I would say that comparing a Cerveny rotary-valve euphonium to a Yamaha 321 is like comparing apples and oranges. They both have a leadpipe, valves and a bell, and play in the same key, but are completely different instruments. There have been a few American players who have played a rotary-valve euphonium, such as a Meinl-Weston, Alexander or Mirafone, and the quality of these and the Cerveny is very good, but they are not likely to be widely accepted by American euphonium players any time soon. The CEP 531-4M is a nice 4-rotary euphonium with a nickel-silver leadpipe, and the CEP731-4MR is the rose brass version. Besides the rotary valves, most Americans would probably find the .590" bore to be smallish.
