I have played both horns and here is what I think. MW does not make horns like they used to. I have a friend with a 20+ year old 2155 and it plays pretty well, but a lot of new ones that I have played have not been as good. It could just be because the old one I played had a lot of custom work done to it. Also, it is difficult to compare these two horns as the pt-20 is a 4/4 and the 2155 is a 5/4. I personally like the quality of the pt better than the MW and if it were between the two 4/4 (pt-20, mw 2145)I would not hesitate to go with the pt. Good luck on finding a new horn and the mouthpiece you are playing on is probably fine. Different horns like different mouthpieces.
