I believe this mouthpiece is different from the current versions and there are some that really like the old ones. I think they are pretty hard to come by these days. I would not pay anything for one myself but a friend had one and it was quite a bit different than the newer ones and he really liked his and would not part with it. I am pretty confident that this one is one of the older models and that is why it comands a high price.
