The cases are made very well and handle the rigors of airline flight quite well. You will, in all likelihood, pay oversize on the case. If you're lucky....that won't happen. The case will take almost anything the freight handlers can dish out including landing upside down after coming off the luggage escalator. The horn came through just fine. If you are worried about having enough padding to hold the horn in place, buy some soft foam, cover it with felt, and glue it in the case.
