By reading this, one can get the impression, that there are people who really think, an EEb must not necessarily be a compromise in regard to the COMPLETE range and application field of the entire tuba family. BTW, here I found congruences with other evaluations and tests concerning the Nirschl EEb, so it might not be a single "voice" only.
I have a Conn 28K with an amazing sound over all registers. I know, one of the pros'enemy horns (in the U.S. only - not in other parts of the world !) that might not be too far away from the Nirschl (if the comparison would be free of "prejustification).
