Go back to square one and start with an elementary methods book. Play *every* page, until you reach a page which presents difficulties (for me, that was page 1 on my first day back). Continue.

Remember that the best way to improve at both extremes is to play A LOT in your comfort zone. Play whatever you can find that stays in that comfort zone, and then add progressive exercises that start in the middle and approach the extremes slowly.

Play the lowest note you can play, and the highest note you can play, every day - but not too many times, and don't strain to play lower (or higher).

The range *will* come back - but you can't force it.
