My first CC was a PT3 (rotory) and I liked it just fine, it was the right horn for me at the time. I also looked at Cerveny "piggies" while shopping for that first CC tuba. Frankly, I liked the sound of the Cerveny better. They were similar in size and shape, but I chose the PT3 because it had thicker metal and a 5th valve.
Point is, the horns to me were very similar. Selling your Cerveny might be only a slight upgrade... not worth a lot of money invested. Of course, the PT3 may be an excellent specimin. Either way... go try the horn out, it will be fun to compare it to yours.
