My first tuba teacher started on a Bach 18 mouthpiece when we was 13 years old. He is now 84 years and has played that exact same Bach 18. It has 52 years of service in the Portland then Oregon Symphony. It doesn't really have anything to do with the post it's just an interesting tid bit about one particular Bach 18.
