I have a Yamaha Silent Brass outfit for my euphonium, and it serves its purpose well (allows everyone in the house to sleep while I practice). However, I'd like to be able to hook the "box" up to some kind of an amplifier and be able to hear the sound I now hear on my headphones projected through the amplifier. Have any of you ever done this? I've hooked the "box" up to a pair of speakers that were intended for use with a hand-held CD player, but there is no amplification. I'm not knowledgeable about electronics. What I need is a way to hook up the silent brass to my stereo system so that the sound could be projected through the stereo speakers. Is this possible, or is it contraindicated by the very concept of "silent brass"? Thanks for answering if you have any suggestions.
