I have played several of BOTH of those. Both were just o.k.. I have heard ( or try to hear) the 52J played in a major symphony orchestra. 'Could barely hear it at all. 'Does NOT project as well as the new Miraphone and Meinl, nor does it have the tonal flexibility or quality of the those horns. The Meinl, Rudy, and Miraphone ( in my opinion) have better response and intonation than the new Conn52J, 56J.
