Chicago Brass Band Players, a 10-piece ensemble comprised of selected players from the Chicago Brass Band, was formed in the tradition of the English innovation fostered by legendary trumpeter Philip Jones, who desired to create a group that could perform works for both large and small brass ensembles on the same program. Many of the arrangements that CBB Players perform were created for Philip Jones’ organization.
