I disagree. I can push a lot of air through my Mel, and not get a bark. You get a bark when you lose control at the mouthpiece, not when you push more air. I also disagree about the whole "push buttons and blow" thing. Yes, you can do this on about any horn, but you condemn yourself to a mediocre sound at best and also limit your effective working range. If you work your breathing a little, you get get a much better sound on almost any horn (barring substantial mechanical problems) than you would with a "push buttons and blow" approach. If you want to just push buttons and blow, why don't you play a saxophone instead? ;^)
