Most of the time I use a PT-88, which is a big bowl-shaped mouthpiece. But the tuba sounds good with the big PT-50 funnel also. I have tried the Yamaha Bobo Symphonic, but didn't like it as much as the PT-88. More projection, that's for sure. To each his own. The Bobo-piece is a lot more shallow (almost half an inch) than the PT-88, so it shouldn't need that much air. It's very wide, though. Another smaller funnel-alternative is the PT-42. That's my choice when my chops are under par (yeah, right, I use it a lot).
