No, if you know the difference between marching band sound and concert band sound there should not be a problem. Even if you're in marching band you should still stress playing without having a forceful tone with a growl. Marching bands don't have to sound like sh*t to be loud. But anyway, if you work on your tone after the marching season is over then there definitely won't be a problem.
