I use Sibelius and have been VERY pleased with the results.
You can go to their website and download a trial version for
you to use and evaluate. Buy it using educational discounts
(multiple criteria to qualify for this) and you'll pay a LOT less.
I arrange mostly quintet stuff and really enjoy the ease that this
program allows for creating new scores, undoing and making changes,
playback for proofing, etc. I cannot recommend it highly enough!
