I get a cheesecake for Christmas. The school gets the normal discount for purchasing throught them, much like other music companies will do. My sales representative travels almost 100 miles one way to service our school. He gives a cash discount to those who will trade in such as fashion. They also give me discount service for my professional musical needs.
BTW, for those who are not familiar with our geographical area, One of the Memphis area music stores offers me great professional service and great prices, even though I am not one of their regular accounts. The store owner and his wife have always been courteous and quick to provide the correct advice, merchandice, and service. I can also remember when the shop was also home.
For a hint, the location is on Summer Avenue, and he just performed with the University of Memphis and the Memphis Symphony.
