As many of you know, "Pershing's Own" puts on a Tuba Conference every year at the end of January. A large part of that conference is giving military musicians a chance to perform on the two recitals set aside for that purpose. Well, this year we happen to have a few slots left and would like to extend an invitation to any current military tubist or euphoniumist to perform.

Whatever you play must be no more than 12-15 minutes long. Shorter is ok, longer is not so good. You'll have to supply your own accompanist if you need one, but we can probably rig something up on this end at your expense if your band can't send one along with you.

The fiscal year is still young, so perhaps you could even get your unit to give you TDY money to pay for the trip if you are out of town.

The downside is that we need to have a commitment and your music selection into us by this weekend if at all possible. The program is going to press very very soon.

As the slots are limited, and we are under a bit of a time crunch, the requests will be evaluated on a first come, first serve basis.

If you are current military and and have a tune under your belt which can be polished up by the last week of January, then send an email to SSG David Brown at datbrown(AT)erols.com.

thanks,
SSG Sean Chisham, "Pershing's Own"
