If the dents are that small and they can be removed, why do all this other "stuff?" Unless the dents were in the valve tubing or something, it is not a big deal to have a couple of scratches on your horn.
Are you going to have it replated every time you get a scratch?
I'm sorry for sounding so negative, but this idea may be more trouble for you than it is worth. By the time you go through all this, you may wish you had left the dents and spent that time practicing.
