After reading the other posts, I'm glad you got the piece of the old stem out. I'd suggest to anyone, in the future, if you have this happen, don't just try to drill the sheared-off portion of the stem. Get a LEFT-HAND drill bit, put the drill in reverse, and you can drill the hole without the likelhood of screwing the remainder of the stem into the valve, where it can rattle around for ever and ever, drive you crazy, and lessen the value of you horn.
