You're close, but not quite right The instruments were not built in Steyr. The name Musica is a house name used by UMI. It's kind of like Sears and the name Kenmore At one time I had a Musica tuba and it had "Steyr, Austria" engraved on the bell. When I was traveling in Austria, I went to Steyr hoping to see my tuba's birthplace. Ha! It was a distribution warehouse with numerous brands of instruments. Later I discovered that my Musica was actually an Amati 321. Today I believe B and S does make at least some of the Musica labeled instruments. It shouldn't be too hard to tell, a manufacturer is not going to retool the plant to make a different configuration, so the shape and size of the Musica will be exactly the same as the manufacturer's instrument. They might use different grade or weight of metal, but that would not be apparent to the casual observer.
