I would imagine the "quite a few" high schoolers play it for college auditions, but....
As far as my own personal experience, Devin (alson on the board) and I had an audition for a (High school) band camp, and he played the 3rd Mvmt. and I played the 2nd Mvmt., no complaints from the judge.
However, I wise man once said that it is better to play and easy piece well than a hard piece badly.
