Devil's fiddle. It would be a lot easier if I could find a link and picture but it is a percussion instrument resembling a one or two-stringed cello with noise making devices like cymbols, tambourines, bells, etc., etc. mounted to a tee fashioned from a couple of dowels in the form of a cross. Basically, the instrument is bumped on the floor while whacking the items mounted on it. Other names are bumbass and pogo cello. There's a picture of one at this link.
