That's exactly it. I have a anvil/unitec style alum. flight case presently, but it was not designed for my current horn to begin with let alone with it in the gig bag. It fit the 186 I had very well though...it was designed more for the "typical" 4/4 sized tuba and not something as short and fat as the Getzen.

Some people have said that you can use the gigbag as a suitcase, but with the price of my RB bag and airline handling combined, I think it would it get torn up in a hurry.
