it's a compensating euphonium, just not the "Blakey" design. I have played the horn and any and every note can be played in tune. D above the staff, F above the staff, and even low B beneath the staff...they can all be played in tune because of this "compensation"

...those quotations around "compensation" are going to come back to haunt me...
