Thanks for the comments on Atlanta. Too bad about the turnout. It was their first year and they may have been a bit overambitious. It was a well run conference though apart from the attendence. I think "held your own" is a good way to describe how I played there. I didn't come away with that "damn that was awesome" fealing. More like a "whew that held together well" instead. I had been out of the musical arena since 1995 or so and it is still a bit nerve wracking for me to try to get back in the groove. I am just glad you didn't have the "pleasure" of hearing me fall flat on my face at the TUSAB Tuba Euph conference the following January at Ft. Myer. Now that was a real learning experience!
