Sorry if my comment was taken the wrong way. I have studied with Sam Pilafian and have the greatest respect for him. He's a great player and a great person. My intention was to defend the horn. The point I was trying to make was that he has found such a good horn for himself with the Bell model, that I don't think he would try to replace it himself. Melton might want him to replace it with one of their new models that they send him, but he seems to always go back. By the way I bought and am very happy with one of the other models that he endorsed, but never really liked, the 2145. He actually said he liked mine more than his.
