I think the website alludes to this but as I understand it the differences are that the 2000 is 'handmade' from sheet brass(as opposed to hydraulicly formed from thicker brass), has fewer braces, and marginally different plumbing. The 2000 is definately lighter and in all likelyhood has more time invested in it.

Play 'em both and decide if it's worth it.
