Not to provocative, but what is a bad m.p.? I was always taught that m.p.'s were a personal thing, so that all that mattered was whether a m.p. worked for you or not. Seems to me, you gotta try one to find out for yourself. Just to give an example, a lot of people like the Conn Helleberg 7B, but I've never been able to make that m.p. work well for me.
