The Hirsbrunner front action EEb model 488, is very similar to the Besson 983.
it is one of the best instruments I have ever played.
it blows freely, and sings out in the top register.
You must try one, before you buy the Besson.
The Hirsbrunner may cost more, but has legendery build quality,
amazing resale value and will last a life time.
I have played most good makes of EEb tuba, and now I play the Best.
The Hirsbrunner model 688 EEb.
