The Elephant was also mentioned in this thread, a real "tuba" piece. One of my favourites. Also, don't forget The Tortoise, as it suits the tuba just as well as the Elephant.
Give yourself the opportunity to play The Swan. It demands so much consistency and control to play it right, you'll improve your playing considerably.
