As I've got through this exercise before, I'd suggest simply getting the receiver changed. You could also try getting Boosey's current, bigger leadpipe which comes with the standard morris taper receiver. I finally ended up getting both the bigger lead pipe, and the bigger 19" bell. Needless to say, it takes a while to get the stuff out of B&H. To compensate for any flatness in pitch, you can have straight tubing cut-off the back side of the horn to shorten it. I have no idea what branch numbers those are called. John Fletcher called that the "Phil Parker conversion", because they used to make that cut at Phil Parker's shop in London. Don't cut the main tuning slide, as it's already rather short.

But to start out with, you could have the receiver easily changed, which would open up the entire spectrum of existing m.p.'s. It might actually cost you less than buying a new Dennis Wick m.p.
