Start with something cheap, compatable, and obviously appropriate: the Schilke 69C4. You can pay very little extra and special order it with the throat bored out to a more standard size of around 3/10 of an inch (or perhaps a smidge bigger). This will help on the notes just below the staff. If you like a flat rim, again, for just a few dollars Schilke will alter the 69C4 to make you happy.

Again, this mouthpiece (even "custom altered" at the factory) is accessable, affordable, and obviously will work with an F tuba. Later on, you could try out any and all of the exotics, etc.
