Out of all those fine names you posted, you left one huge one out. Jon Sass is the man when it comes to jazz tuba! Pick up some cd recordings titled "Heavy Tuba". You will gain a high level of respect for him and his playing right away. He is a real nice guy too!
Jon Sass also plays in the BQ "Art of Brass Vienna", I think they have a website but I am not sure.
