I agree with Mark F. I recently did some long, hard euph shopping and ended up with a silver VMI. It has a big, dark sound--like a Miraphone (though, I'd have bought the Miraphone if I could have afforded it--better intonation and a somewhat more open sound). I played a Cerveny 4-valve and, though I really like the way it looks, couldn't figure out quite how to hold it and had real difficulties with intonation. Also, the smaller shank limits the mouthpieces you can get for it.
