I wonder why is it that front action tubas are not made in this configuration. It seems to me that it would be easier to play with a 3rotor/piston + 1 thumb 4th rotor than the conventional 4 front rotor/piston design, since the last finger is considerably slower than the rest. I have asked a few of my friends and they don't seems to know why is this not made too. Perhaps this is due to a technical issue? If not, why don't we try and request tubas to be made this way from now on?
