I don't agree, if you listen real carefully there is an energy in his voice that is very present. You can just feel it when he talks about his ideas and teaching methods and what he learnt about the human body in relation to being a performer. His thoughts are incredibly clear.Just as in his playing.
It is a clear and resonant voice, even on that CD. Now wonder he was almost a radio announcer. Though notice the difference in his voice from when he was younger to older.
BUT, the energy is still there. You may have to listen carefully, but its there. An amazing person. It is a clear and resonant voice, thats obvious. But what makes it special is that positive energy behind it. Thats my two cents anyway
